How We Build
“When we build, let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work as our descendants will thank us for it. And let us think, as we lay stone on stone, that a time is to come when those stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor, “See, this our father did for us.”
John Ruskin
Sid Higginbotham Builder, Inc. believes in building forever. From our concrete block stem wall foundations to the 30-year architectural shingles on the roof, and everything in between, our homes are built with quality in mind. We use methods and materials that most other builders don’t because they cost more, and take more time.
Oil base enamel paint is expensive, and requires a great deal of preparation to use, but it is the only paint we use on our interior trim. The custom built fireplace mantle, the built-in-place wood shelving, and all of the other trim material is as smooth as possible because of this commitment to quality.
When you buy a Sid Higginbotham home, you buy much more than "sticks and bricks". You get a home that was built as solid as it can be.
